Spitfire Hangar is delighted to be hosting a Kids Swap Day on 27 June, inviting local families to come together for a fun, practical and sustainable community event.
Running from 10am to 2pm, this relaxed and family-friendly day is all about giving pre-loved children's items a second life. Visitors are encouraged to bring along good-quality children's clothes, toys, books and other essentials they no longer need, and exchange them for something new-to-them.
Kids Swap Day is built on a simple idea: small changes can make a big difference. By swapping instead of buying new, families can save money, reduce waste and support a more sustainable way of living. It's a great opportunity to refresh wardrobes, pass on outgrown items, and find something your children will love - all without spending a penny.
The event is designed with families in mind. Alongside the swapping activity, there will be free children's craft activities, giving little ones the chance to get creative while parents browse and connect with others in the community.
Event Details
You can drop off your pre-loved items ahead of the event, weekdays 8-5pm.
For each pre-loved item, you will receive a token which will allow you to swap for another item. There will also be a method to purchase items separately if you run out of tokens.
Whether you're decluttering, looking for a bargain, or simply want to enjoy a positive, community-led day out, everyone is welcome.
